How the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped public health, health care access

The Ohio Department of Health reported 8,332 new COVID-19 cases, 425 additional hospitalizations and 53 deaths on Thursday.
The state health department has now reported a total of 3,400,652 coronavirus cases in the state.
As of March 9, 7,574,362 Ohioans have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. That accounts for 64.80% of the state’s population.
The Ohio Department of Health announced the state would transition from daily to weekly reporting beginning in March 2022.
The health department says the change brings Ohio’s reporting system more in line with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
